Study of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary
Disease (COPD)
General
qualifications:
- Male or Female over the age
or 40
- Diagnosis of COPD
- Smoking history of at least 20 packs per year
General
conditions that may prohibit study participation:
- Patients requiring long
term oxygen therapy (more than 15 hours a day)
- Respiratory infection within the last six
weeks
- Hospitalization for COPD within the last six
weeks
- History of Asthma
- Diabetes tyoe I or II
- Lung cancer or history of lung cancer
